I haven't painted in so long... this felt wonderful to do. Took around 3 hours - the body was done in watercolor, because watercolor just does not get enough credit when it comes to painting people. The background is a combination of watercolor, white acrylic, and willow charcoal. No preliminary sketching was used, just paint straight onto the watercolor paper!
I tried a new style on the bg, and I'm quite liking it. I was aiming for a James Jean - esque style, and I think I might-have-sort-of grazed it.
wowsoooolovelysoooamazing *dies* This has to be my favorite picture you've created. ever, the colors everything is just too amazing, I love the muted grey tones, and the warm yellows used.
The shading is just too fantastic for words, let alone me trying to put them in anything but WOWWOWWOW, rite now. Gah I love it oodles and oddles.
Also I think you really would love the Kabuki series by David Mack, that is if your not already reading them. His watercolors are simply the most amazing things. here's one of my favorites:
OH and I thought you might get a kick out of this one as well, I'm not positive as to which series this is from, I'm thinking the daredevil comics, but I'm not positive. [link]

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
